CineLeopard understands the importance of your privacy and is committed to safeguarding your personal information. This Policy outlines how we handle your data when you use our macOS application, CineLeopard (“Our App”).
1. Introduction
This Policy applies to our processing of your personal information when you access and use Our App. CineLeopard is a native macOS video editing application. All editing, composing, and rendering occurs entirely on your device. Our App does not connect to any external servers, cloud services, or analytics platforms. This Policy does not extend to any external websites or services. We advise you to review the privacy policies of any external websites or services before providing them with your personal information.
2. What Data We Collect
Personal Information: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information through Our App. CineLeopard does not require account creation, sign-in, or registration of any kind.
Media Files: Our App accesses video, audio, and image files that you explicitly import through the system file picker or drag and drop. These files remain on your device at all times. Our App does not upload, transmit, or share your media files with any external service.
Project Files: Project files (.vidproj) are saved locally on your device at a location you choose. Autosave recovery files are stored in your local Application Support directory. These files are never transmitted off your device.
Microphone Access: Our App requests microphone access only if you use the voiceover recording feature. Audio is recorded locally and is not transmitted to any external service. You may deny microphone access at any time through macOS System Settings.
MIDI Devices: Our App may communicate with MIDI controllers and instruments connected to your Mac. This communication is local and does not involve any network transmission.
Analytics & Tracking: We do not use any analytics frameworks, tracking pixels, crash reporting services, or telemetry of any kind. Our App contains zero third-party dependencies.
Support Requests: If you contact us for support via email, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include. This information is used solely to respond to your request and is not shared with third parties or used for marketing.
3. How We Use Your Data
We do not collect, store, or use any personal data. All media files, project data, recordings, MIDI data, and exported files remain entirely on your device. Our App performs all processing locally using native macOS frameworks and does not communicate with any external servers.
4. Third-Party Services
Our App does not integrate with or transmit data to any third-party services. CineLeopard is built entirely with Apple frameworks (SwiftUI, AVFoundation, CoreMIDI, Core Image) and contains no third-party code, SDKs, or libraries. Your purchase and download are handled by the Mac App Store, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
5. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 18. Since Our App does not collect any personal information from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's data. If a parent or guardian has concerns, they should contact us at support@cineleopard.com.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of Our App after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy indicates your agreement to the terms of the revised Policy. We recommend that you check this page regularly to keep up-to-date.
